About Us ...

Fox & Chave was founded in 1990 to supply silk ties to the British gift market. In 2002, the business was acquired by Jemima Haddock. Jemima’s previously managed and owned Alan Hutchison Ltd, a fine-art gift stationery business and her experience encouraged her to develop the design resources of Fox & Chave. Since the acquisition, significant investment has been made in design, creating an exciting and eclectic collection, with an active licensing programme, working with talented artists and world-class heritage institutions.

The Fox & Chave team includes Kate and Trevor Baker (Customer Services and Operation Managers respectively) who have both worked with Jemima since Alan Hutchison was acquired by Hunkydory over 12 years ago. William Humbert has been a close friend of Jemima’s for over 20 years and joined her in the business 6 years ago as Sales Manager, looking after the independent gift market.

The heritage institutions with whom we work include The Ashmolean in Oxford, The Bodleian, The British Library, The British Museum, Burghley House, Canterbury Cathedral, Chatsworth House, The Courtauld Gallery, The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, Glamis Castle, Hampton Court Palace, The House of Commons, Kensington Palace, The Lowry, The Museum of London, The National Art Collections Fund, NADFAS, The National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, The National Galleries of Scotland, The National Horseracing Museum in Newmarket, The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, The National Portrait Gallery, the Natural History Museum, The Royal Horticultural Society, The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, The Tower of London, The V&A Museum and Westminster Abbey.

Sales of all our licenses items benefit the museums and artists.
